Job summary

Philz Coffee in Sunnyvale is seeking a Team Lead (Shift Supervisor) to supervise daily shift activities and support a vibrant team of Baristas. You’ll mentor staff, maintain high drink quality, and contribute to a welcoming, community-focused environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and commitment to Philz core values while collaborating with Store Leaders and other supervisors to run smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of shifts and support a dynamic team of Baristas.
• Motivate and inspire team members and set the bar for service and drink quality.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and the local community.
• Assess the performance of your team members, including service and drink quality.
• Hold team members accountable to scheduled shifts and ensure coverage and breaks.
• Communicate performance to Store Leaders and Shift Supervisors for consistency.
• Support promotions and new hires through in-store training.
• Assist the Store Leader in operations and administrative duties.
• Lead in implementing and maintaining Philz safety programs.
