Job summary

Urbane Cafe is hiring a Shift Leader to set the tone, lead by example and ensure guests feel like they belong. You'll supervise operations, welcome guests, and model Urbane Cafe's friendly, responsive service on every shift.

This California-based role offers competitive pay with tips, on-demand pay, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits for all team members, including health, dental, vision, and tuition assistance. Apprenticeships and growth are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Great communication and people skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 35 lbs.

Urbane Cafe is a family-owned company founded by Tom Holt, with locations across Southern California and Nevada — and more on the way. Every day, we make our focaccia dough from scratch and bake it fresh in open-hearth ovens, right in front of our guests. Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written – Bilingual a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in service and food, generally involving at least one year of front-of-the house operations leadership
• Possess excellent basic math skills and the ability to operate a POS system.
• Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
