Urbane Cafe is seeking an amazing Shift Leader to set the tone, lead by example, and ensure every guest feels like they belong. You will welcome guests with friendly service and model Urbane Cafe's values on every shift.

Lead by example, motivate the team, and keep operations running smoothly while ensuring fair breaks and respectful, consistent leadership throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Great communication and people skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Our Story

Urbane Cafe is a family-owned company founded by Tom Holt, with locations across Southern California and Nevada — and more on the way. Every day, we make our focaccia dough from scratch and bake it fresh in open-hearth ovens, right in front of our guests. We craft gourmet sandwiches, farm fresh salads and unique bowls using refined local ingredients — all served with a smile in a warm, vibrant atmosphere.

Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written – Bilingual a plus


• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Experience in service and food, generally involving at least one year of front-of-the house operations leadership


• Possess excellent basic math skills and the ability to operate a POS system.


• Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time


• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
