Job summary

Urbane Cafe in California is seeking a Shift Leader to set the tone, lead by example and ensure every guest feels welcome. You’ll guide a front-of-house team to keep service smooth and friendly, while upholding Urbane Cafe’s values on every shift.

This role offers competitive hourly pay starting at $20 plus tips, with benefits for full-time team members and opportunities for growth as we expand across Southern California.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Urbane Cafe is a family-owned company founded by Tom Holt, with locations across Southern California and Nevada — and more on the way. Every day, we make our focaccia dough from scratch and bake it fresh in open-hearth ovens, right in front of our guests. Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written – Bilingual a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in service and food, generally involving at least one year of front-of-the house operations leadership
• Possess excellent basic math skills and the ability to operate a POS system.
• Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
