Job summary

Families in Transition, Inc. is seeking a part-time Support Staff for our Family Shelter in Manchester, NH. The role provides a safe, clean, non-threatening environment for people experiencing homelessness while supporting daily shelter operations and policy improvement.

You will document safety, security, participant behaviors and medical concerns, assist with supplies, and communicate with participants; early mornings, evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding and knowledge of housing safety concerns.
• Demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service.
• Must be willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, clean and non-threatening environment to persons experiencing homelessness in the Family Shelter.
• Support daily shelter operations and participate in continuous improvement efforts aligned with the mission.
• Document safety, security, participant behaviors, medical concerns and other issues; monitor and request supplies as necessary.
• Communicate with participants and support engagement; perform housekeeping as needed; maintain a safe, clean environment.
