Job summary

The People Concern is seeking an Overnight Support Specialist for our Lancaster Interim Housing program. This 100% onsite role operates Friday through Tuesday from 11pm to 7:30am, supporting residents and ensuring safety and continuity of care.

You will work with a team to provide comprehensive, client-centered care and uphold trauma-informed, harm-reduction principles while promoting stability and progress toward permanent housing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent.
• Minimum one year of related work experience.
• Effective customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
• Ability to work independently and think critically.
• Professional conduct in all circumstances.
• Commitment to community empowerment and dignity.
• Familiarity with non-violent crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point-of-contact for client needs and requests.
• Monitor the floor and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Be visible on the floor and engage with clients.
• Conduct regular walk-throughs of the facility.
• Develop a supportive environment to promote client stability.
• Maintain shift logs and HMIS documentation as needed.
