Job summary

Families in Transition seeks a Support Staff member to help run our Family Shelter and ensure a safe, clean, welcoming environment for residents experiencing homelessness. The role supports daily shelter operations, assists with safety, behavior observations, and basic documentation, and helps communicate with participants.

Shift available: 2nd shift (Friday - Monday) 3:45 am–12:15 pm; hourly base pay $18. Candidates should be reliable, customer-service oriented, and willing to work early

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding and knowledge of housing safety concerns.
• Demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service.
• Must be willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, clean, non-threatening environment for residents experiencing homelessness.
• Assist with policies and programs and support continuous improvement in Shelter offerings and operations.
• Document safety, security, participant behaviors, medical concerns, and other issues; monitor supplies and housekeeping as needed.
• Communicate with participants and support engagement and activities within the shelter.

Through providing input on policies and programs, this role assists with identification and implementation of actions for continuous improvement in Shelter offerings and operations that aligns with our mission in serving the most vulnerable population. This position performs activities to support effective daily operations of the Shelter; including documenting safety, security, participant behaviors, medical concerns, and any other issue; monitor and request supplies as necessary; communicate with participants; participants engagement; housekeeping as necessary; always maintaining awareness to ensure a safe and clean environment.

Available shift: 2nd shift(Friday - Monday) 3:45 am-12:15 Pm(Part time)

Base Pay :$18 per hour
