Job summary

CAMBA's Park Slope Shelter for Women in Brooklyn seeks a Shift Supervisor to oversee on-site client care, maintain confidentiality, and ensure continuous supervision during all shifts. The role requires staying on-site, coordinating staff coverage, and upholding safety protocols.

You will ensure regulatory compliance with NYS DHS, NYC agencies and funders, input client data, prepare reports, and lead program meetings. A strong orientation to teamwork and community safety is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and/or associate’s degree (A.A.) with 2 years relevant experience; bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.W.) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years applicable experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Overdose prevention certification required.
• F-80 Fire Safety Coordinator certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
• Provide supervisory coverage on-site during shifts.
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance per NYS DHS/OTDA/NYC agencies.
• Input client data in DHS CARES database as needed.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly/annual reports to CAMBA management/funders.
• Lead program meetings and supervise staff development.
• Manage day-to-day facility operations and staffing to ensure programs run smoothly.
• Respond to complaints/incidents and coordinate resolutions.
