St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is seeking a Shift Supervisor to provide 24-hour awake coverage and oversee day-to-day shelter operations.

You will supervise staff, volunteers, and guests, manage intake and discharge, and ensure the safety and dignity of every resident. In this role you will coordinate scheduling, monitor attendance, and facilitate life skills and job readiness activities with case managers.

Competenze

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience working with homeless populations, especially women and children.
• Experience in crisis intervention, behavior management, or conflict resolution.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental manner.
• Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.

Mansioni

• Provide supervision and direction to staff, volunteers, and guests.
• Oversee daily shelter operations: intake, discharge, meals, laundry, and safety.
• Coordinate schedules, on-call coverage, and staff assignments.
• Ensure safety and security of guests, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with case managers and participate in move-in/move-out processes.
• Enter attendance and program participation data into HMIS.
• Represent the organization at external meetings as needed.
