Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Resident Assistant to monitor Residents, ensure safety, and support homeless individuals in resolving homelessness within the San Bernardino area.

Under supervision, you will screen calls, receive donations, engage volunteers, assist with meals, and refer Residents and non-residents as needed, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the social service code of ethics.

Qualifications

• Completion of a High School Level Education or GED.
• Experience working with individuals in recovery or social services.
• Ability to drive and pass background checks and licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Residents and ensure safety and security during shifts.
• Screen calls, receive donations, and engage volunteers.
• Provide meals and assist Residents with tasks as needed.
• Refer Residents to Case Manager and other services as appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethics and boundaries.
