The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Resident Assistant (Flex/Position) for a full-time role in the Redlands area. This position supports homeless families, screens shelter calls, assists with meals, and maintains facility safety and documentation.

It requires patience, crisis handling, and collaboration with Case Managers and staff to resolve housing needs. Responsibilities include intake processes, incident reporting, and transporting residents when necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in recovery/social/human services.
• Experience with people at varying stages of recovery.
• Experience deescalating conflict.
• Pass background check.
• Valid CA driver’s license and clean MVR; TSA driving test.
• CPR and First Aid certification current.
• Mandated Reporter Training completed before hire.

Responsabilités

• Oversee facility safety and security during shifts.
• Screen calls and provide referrals or resources.
• Assist residents with daily needs and house duties.
• Prepare meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Document incidents and maintain logs.
• Provide transportation when needed and protect confidentiality.
