Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco is seeking a Temporary Program Aid Liaison to support the MSC operations in San Francisco. You will monitor the shelter, assist guests, maintain records, and coordinate resources under the Shift Supervisor.

This full-time, temporary role ends around January 1, 2027 with shifts 10:00–18:00 Sun-Thu or 12:00–20:30 Tue-Sat. It starts at $25.50 per hour, with sick leave accrual.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience and ability to work with homeless individuals.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work under pressure and in crisis situations.
• Proficient in data entry, learning new software, and Word processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource and referral information for guests.
• Monitor shelter activities and posts to ensure safety.
• Carry and use PPE (gloves) as appropriate.
• Follow shelter operations manual rules and regulations.
• Maintain electronic guest records in ONE System, Zoho, and Envoy.
• Maintain daily logs and service statistics accurately.
