Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco is seeking a Temporary Case Manager III to provide direct case management at the Division Circle Navigation Center in San Francisco.

The role assesses client needs, develops service plans for ~25–30 active clients, and supports housing and service goals in a full-time temporary assignment ending around 12/1/26. The position runs 4:00pm–12:30am with days off Wednesday and Thursday; starting pay is $30.60 per hour plus SF PSLO benefits.

Qualifications

• BA degree in social services, psychology, or another related field.
• Two years’ experience providing services to chronically homeless preferred.
• Above average proficiency to read, write, and speak English.
• Demonstrated counseling, case management, and client advocacy skills.
• Knowledge of Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing and OARS.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Understanding of homeless issues and Housing First approach.
• Proficient with MS Office; familiarity with SF shelter systems.
• Commitment to mission of St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client services: counseling, case management, advocacy.
• Enter client data into the ONE database within 48 hours.
• Create a service plan for each client with key issues prioritized.
• Coordinate care with service providers to meet goals.
• Assist clients in maintaining stability and linkage to services.
• Maintain electronic client records, daily logs, and service statistics.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing staff development.
• Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
