Job summary

Clinical & Support Options, Inc. (CSO) is seeking a Shelter Program Director for the Northampton campus to oversee daily shelter and housing plans, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for guests.

The role leads staff, coordinates health services, and maintains compliant operations across the shelter and respite sites. The position requires an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred) with 3–5 years of management experience in related fields and experience serving homeless populations.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills and ability to use shelter management software.
• Experience with homeless or at-risk populations is preferred.
• Strong leadership, supervision and decision-making abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shelter operations, case management and housing plans to meet guest needs.
• Lead managers, supervisors and staff with ongoing supervision and support.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and funding requirements; manage reporting and QA measures.
• Coordinate with health services, nursing, and clinical coordination within CSO.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; manage scheduling and workload.
• Handle crisis interventions and divert 911 calls in collaboration with the supervisor.
• Collaborate with Facilities to address maintenance issues and safety.
• Oversee HMIS data collection and reporting to comply with regulations.
• Promote dignity and respect in all services and interactions.
• Represent CSO in community relations and fundraising activities.
