Job summary

Pine Street Inn is seeking a Front Desk Guest Service Specialist to assist guests, callers and visitors at the Shattuck Shelter with information about emergency shelter, food, clothing, medical care, housing services and referrals. This on-site role focuses on creating a safe, welcoming environment and helping guests access resources.

The position requires data entry into HMIS, sound decision making, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to communicate with diverse guests in a non-judgmental manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests, callers and visitors with information about services and referrals.
• Maintain a safe, secure, on-site environment for guests and staff.
• Enter data into the HMIS system and generate required reports.
• Make sound decisions and seek supervision when guidance is needed.
• Operate the front desk, phone system and related security equipment.
