NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION FOR INTER CULTURAL AFFAIRS INC. is seeking a Residential Aide (Tier 1) in the New York City area. The role emphasizes promoting the organization’s mission by assisting residents, monitoring safety, and reinforcing program policies.

Flexible shifts include late-night, day, and evening hours in a non‑exempt, full‑time capacity. The position requires a high school diploma, applicable Fire Guard/Fire Safety certifications, a NYC Food Protection certificate, CPR/First-Aid,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain Fire Guard F-02 or F-80 by end of probation.
• Food Protection Certificate from NYC Health Academy required.
• CPR/First-Aid certification required.
• NY State Security Guard License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility residents and premises to ensure security and safety.
• Enforce shelter policies and staff procedures.
• Maintain detailed logs and document incidents and resident whereabouts.
• Provide compassionate assistance and resolve resident questions.
• Report safety concerns to supervisory/maintenance staff.
• Assist in preparing units for new residents.
