Job summary

NAICA is seeking a Residential Aide (Tier 1) in New York City to assist residents and support a safe living environment. You will monitor hallways and common areas, enforce policies, and maintain detailed incident and location logs.

Responsibilities include assisting residents, coordinating with security, and preparing units for new residents while adhering to safety guidelines and program rules. Strong communication and judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Probation period requires Fire Guard/F-02 and Food Handler certifications.
• CPR certification is required or must be obtained.
• NY State Security Guard License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents and facility to ensure safety and security.
• Enforce shelter policies and document incidents and resident whereabouts.
• Provide compassionate assistance and resolve resident questions quickly.
• Maintain logs, communicate with supervisory staff, and report safety concerns.
• Assist with preparing residential units for new residents and coordinate with security.
