Job summary

NAICA Residential Aide (Tier 1) in New York City area promotes the mission by assisting residents and monitoring safety and well-being. You will help enforce program rules and maintain a secure living environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma, CPR/First Aid, and certifications by probation end. Multilingualism is a plus; strong communication and judgment are essential to respond to emergencies and requests.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English for administrative purposes.
• Multilingualism is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility residents and premises to ensure safety and security.
• Enforce shelter policies and follow staff procedures.
• Document incidents, notes, and resident whereabouts in logs.
• Provide compassionate assistance and resolve resident questions or issues.
• Maintain safety and reporting guidelines; inform supervisors of safety concerns.
• Interact with on-site security to promote safety for staff and residents.
• Prepare residential units for new residents as needed.
