Job summary

We are seeking a SharePoint Administrator in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid, preferred) for a contract-to-hire role. You will own administration, governance, and optimization of our Microsoft SharePoint Online environment, collaborating with MSPs and business stakeholders across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has strong Microsoft 365 administration experience, understands manufacturing operations, and helps improve business processes through collaboration technologies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years administering SharePoint Online in Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 collaboration services.
  • Strong SharePoint site architecture, permissions, security, and governance.
  • Experience with MSPs or external IT vendors.
  • Experience supporting enterprise document management systems.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Forms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and 365 tools.
  • Design and support SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Finance, and HR to deliver SharePoint solutions.
  • Manage document management standards, metadata, retention, versioning, and information architecture.
  • Coordinate with MSPs for escalated support and upgrades.
  • Develop Power Automate workflows and forms to streamline processes.
  • Support migrations, upgrades, and integration initiatives.
  • Maintain governance policies, security groups, and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot performance, permissions, search, synchronization, and access.
  • Create user docs and provide end-user training.
  • Monitor platform health, storage, licensing, and performance.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and Microsoft 365 roadmap.

SharePoint Administrator

Location: Charlotte, NC. Hybrid (Preferred) | Manufacturing Environment
W2 ONLY - this is a Contract-to-hire so the candidate must be able to convert full time with no sponsorship. No third party companies will be accepted for this role.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator to own the administration, governance, and optimization of our Microsoft SharePoint Online environment. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and third-party Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to support collaboration, document management, business process automation, and enterprise content management across multiple manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and related Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
  • Design, build, and support SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.
  • Partner with business units including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Finance, and HR to deliver SharePoint solutions.
  • Manage document management standards, metadata, retention policies, version control, and information architecture.
  • Collaborate with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) for escalated support, system enhancements, platform upgrades, and project delivery.
  • Coordinate vendor activities, prioritize work, validate deliverables, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Develop Power Automate workflows and forms to streamline business processes.
  • Support SharePoint migrations, upgrades, and integration initiatives.
  • Maintain governance policies, security groups, permission models, and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot SharePoint performance, permissions, search, synchronization, and user access issues.
  • Create user documentation, training materials, and provide end-user support.
  • Monitor platform health, storage utilization, licensing, and system performance.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and Microsoft 365 roadmap initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years administering SharePoint Online in a Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 collaboration services.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint site architecture, permissions, security, and governance.
  • Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) or external IT vendors.
  • Experience supporting enterprise document management systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Forms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing plants or distributed locations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, or Epicor.
  • Experience with document control processes supporting Quality, Engineering, or ISO compliance.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, retention policies, and data governance.
  • Microsoft 365 or SharePoint certifications preferred.
