Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILITATION & REENTRY seeks a Sewing Production Specialist to oversee the day-to-day operation of an Arizona Correctional Industries sewing center. You will supervise the inmate workforce, ensure safety, manage inventory, and enforce quality and sanitation standards.

You will coordinate production with supervisors, train participants on ERP and production processes, and ensure timely payroll and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production facilities.
• Experience in a sewing or tailoring shop is preferred.
• Ability to supervise an inmate workforce and maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up daily work assignments with supervisor.
• Maintain training records for workforce participants.
• Supervise inmate workforce in the sewing center.
• Provide hands-on training on ERP, clerical tasks, and production processes.
• Oversee quality control to meet guidelines.
• Ensure machinery safety and inventory control.
• Monitor material and equipment quality issues and communicate with purchasing.
