Correction Enterprises is seeking a Supervisor II to oversee sewing manufacturing operations in the Adult Correction Division. This role trains offenders, organizes work assignments, and ensures equipment readiness.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience; specialized licenses may be required. The position offers stability within a state agency and a path to advanced responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least two years of related industry/service experience or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
• Agriculture - NC Pesticide License and NC Wastewater License (Special Requirements)
• Cannery – Low Acid and Acidified Food Production certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Laundry - Certified Professional Laundry Manager or Certified Laundry and Linen Manager certification.
• Braille - Certified Braille Transcriber certificate must be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Training offenders in the safe, proper, and most efficient operation of equipment and practices utilized in a sewing manufacturing operation, while ensuring quality and quantity standards in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
• Organize and direct work assignments of offenders and set up of equipment for processing of raw materials.
• Prepare a variety of written reports involving subjects such as inventory levels, equipment specifications, offender incidents, incentive wage payroll and production schedules.
