Job summary

The Illinois Department of Corrections seeks a Corrections Industry Supervisor at Centralia Correctional Center to supervise garment shop operations, train/instruct inmates, and ensure product quality. You will coordinate orders, oversee payroll, and maintain safety and efficiency in a busy, in-house garment operation.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and two years of garment-industry supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Requires two (2) years supervisory experience in the garment industry.
• Completion of four (4) years of high school or an approved training course.

Responsibilities

• Serves as working supervisor in the Garment Shop.
• Instructs individuals in custody in the proper use of tools, equipment and materials.
• Inspects and reviews all finished products for quality assurance.
• Coordinates the production of all orders.
• Monitors and checks individual in custody payroll.
