Job summary

Arhaus is seeking a Sewing Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product, verify seams, measurement accuracy with a ruler, and ensure fabrics have no holes or flaws.

The role operates in a heated/cooled furniture plant and requires strong English communication and attention to detail. Weekly hours are Monday–Friday with overtime as needed; reports to the Sewing Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing preferred.
• Less than High School education acceptable.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
• Check seams for straightness and no skipped stitches.
• Confirm fabric and leather have no holes or flaws.
• Measure welt length with a ruler to verify accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Position Purpose

Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product was produced.

Duties and Responsibilities

• ½ “ seams
• Stitches are straight
• Ensure there are no skipped stiches
• Ensure piece is sewn to specifications
• Ensure there are no holes or flaws in the Fabric / Leather
• Measure Welt for correct length using a ruler
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

• Must be able to read a ruler.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues is required.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be reliable.
