Job summary

Arhaus is seeking a non-exempt, full-time Upholstery Technician in our Inside Upholstery department. You will hand tuft chairs and sofas in fabric and leather, aiming for 100% quality, working Monday–Friday with overtime as needed in a heated/cooled plant in Hickory, NC.

You must have knowledge of upholstery procedures, read English order tickets, and be able to operate staple guns, pullers, scissors, and regulators.

• Able to use a staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and regulators.
• Must work safely, neatly, and quickly to meet production requirements.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.

• Must have own reliable transportation; able to work weekends and overtime; good reading, comprehension, speaking, and writing in English.

3+ years’ experience in furniture upholstery.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to transport frames to and from work area.

Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Must be able to walk/stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Must be able to work in normal conditions of a furniture manufacturing plant which is heated and cooled.

Must have good vision.

Must be able to wear required PPE of Safety Glasses and close-toe/close-heal shoes when required.

Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
