Job summary

Arhaus is seeking a Sewing Inspector to inspect finished sewing projects in our furniture manufacturing facility. You will verify seams, stitch quality, and adherence to specifications, measuring as needed.

This full-time on-site role requires reading a ruler, strong attention to detail, and reliable teamwork. Weekend and overtime availability may be required; safety PPE must be worn.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of finished sewing products to ensure quality.
• Check seams, stitch alignment, and adherence to specifications.
• Measure Welt length and verify fabric/leather integrity.
• Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to supervisor.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Manager.

POSITION DETAILS

JOB PURPOSE
Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product was produced.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform visual inspection of finished product to ensure:

• ½ “ seams
• Stitches are straight
• Ensure there are no skipped stiches
• Ensure piece is sewn to specifications
• Ensure there are no holes or flaws in the Fabric / Leather
• Measure Welt for correct length using a ruler
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

WORKING CONDITIONS
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Manufacturing Experience.

• Must be able to read a ruler.

• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
