Job summary

Arhaus is seeking an on-site Shipping Prep Associate to ready finished furniture for shipment and prevent damage during transit. The role involves heat-wrapping, assisting in shrink wrap operations, and helping load trucks.

The position requires manufacturing experience, basic reading of order tickets, and strong teamwork with reliable transport. Weekend/overtime work may be needed in a heated/cooled furniture plant environment.

POSITION DETAILS

JOB PURPOSE
Prepare the final product to be shipped without damage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform preparation of finished product for shipping by:

• Using a heat gun to wrap furniture to ensure it is not damaged during shipping
• Assist at various stages of the shrink wrap tunnel to wrap the product.
• Assist in loading of truck

Other duties as assigned by the Manager

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Manufacturing Experience.

Less than High School

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent

REQUIRED SKILLS

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to read an order ticket
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues is required.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be reliable.
• Must have strong English language skills, including:

• Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
