Job summary

Arhaus Upholstery in Conover, NC is seeking a Utility associate to perform sewing and repair work within the upholstery department. You will support the department supervisor and handle tasks to meet production needs in a heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant.

Qualifications include manufacturing experience, the ability to read English order tickets, use power/hand tools, and lift up to 75 lbs. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work weekends or overtime as

• Manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing preferred.
• Must have knowledge of departmental procedures.
• Must have good vision.
• Must be able to read an order ticket written in English.
• Must be able to use a variety of power and hand tools.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to work safely, neatly, and quickly to meet production requirements.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be able to train.
• Must be a Team Player.
• Must be reliable.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must have strong communication skills in reading, comprehending, speaking, and writing in English.
• Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
• Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
