Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a Sewer Maintenance Worker to perform manual tasks in the upkeep and construction of sanitary sewer lines and wastewater facilities. You will excavate soil, make repairs and connect lines using various hand tools, and maintain safety barricades and shoring equipment.

Candidates must be able to work with others as a team, may be required for after-hours call-outs and shift work, and must obtain and maintain all relevant licenses and certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and long periods of standing; kneeling, crouching and bending as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform high level manual tasks involved in maintenance and construction of sanitary sewer lines and sewage plants.
• Excavate soil and make repairs and connections using hand tools.
• Maintain and repair sanitary sewer lines, assemble and disassemble barricades and shoring equipment.
• Work with coworkers as a team and adhere to city timekeeping and attendance policies.
