Job summary

The City of Pasadena, TX is seeking a Utility Worker II to perform semi-skilled manual tasks in the maintenance and construction of wastewater lines. You will work on a crew to dig up and replace sewer lines, set up barricades, and ensure proper pipe slope and back-fill.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, one year of related experience, a valid Texas CDL Class B, good driving record, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Texas CDL Class B and good driving record.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual tasks at a semi-skilled level and train lower-level workers in maintenance and construction of wastewater lines.
• Dig up and replace sewer lines as part of a crew.
• Place pipe in trenches and ensure proper slope; assemble/disassemble barricades.
