Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a maintenance worker to perform skilled general maintenance on equipment used for water and wastewater line maintenance and sewage plants; may use SCADA for monitoring and could be called out after hours. Requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience, and a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the construction trades such as concrete work, pipe work, electrical and general labor.
• Position may require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; kneeling, crouching and bending; pushing, pulling and reaching; and standing for prolonged periods.
• Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record.
• PREFERRED: Basic Wastewater Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on equipment used for water and wastewater line maintenance and sewage plants.
• May use SCADA operations in monitoring and maintenance of wastewater systems.
• May be subject to call out service after hours.
• Follow the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.
