Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe education needs under licensed staff. You will support individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion in both in-person settings and remote learning as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, monitoring progress, maintaining records, and providing technical physical care to ensure a safe, hygienic environment.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Demonstrates ability to work with students with disabilities and diverse needs.
• Ability to implement behavior strategies and modify curriculum as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and monitor student progress and behavior.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with tests and documentation.
• Provide technical physical care where required and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Support online learning activities and assist with technology access and troubleshooting.
