Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will assist with curriculum delivery, behavior strategies, and progress monitoring in both in-person and remote settings as needed.

The role involves preparing instructional materials, ensuring a safe environment, and providing technical care. Experience with IEPs and a calm, patient approach is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required
• No professional work experience required
• Ability to implement behavior modification techniques
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, including adapting the curriculum to individual student needs.
• Implement student accommodations and maintain records of student progress and behavior.
• Assist licensed staff in preparing materials, administering tests, and supervising classroom events.
• Assist with online/distance learning activities and technology support when needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
