Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is hiring a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will support curriculum delivery, track progress, and help maintain a safe classroom and remote learning environment where applicable.

The role covers IEP-aligned tasks, behavioral support, and collaborative work with teachers to implement individualized plans, including crisis intervention and basic care responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training provided by the District.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, adapting curriculum to individual needs and delivering instruction to individuals or small groups.
• Implement student accommodations and maintain progress/behavior records with licensed staff.
• Assist with materials prep, tests, attendance and paperwork; support classroom events as needed.
• Monitor students in integrated learning center/homebound/SED assignments and provide de-escalation support.
