Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. You will support individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignments, while preparing instructional materials and maintaining progress records.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• HSE diploma required; no professional experience required.
• Title I assignments require education credits or an associate degree or higher and competency in reading, writing, and math.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training provided by the District.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Maintain progress & behavior records with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials and assist with tests and attendance.
• Assist with online learning tasks and technology troubleshooting.
• Support with crisis de-escalation and safety when required.
