Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will support individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion, and prepare instructional materials and progress records.

In remote settings, you may assist with technology access, executive functioning, and coursework completion.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Ability to modify curriculum for individual student needs and to work one-on-one or in small groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, adapting curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement accommodations and monitor student progress with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials, assist with tests, attendance, and events (e.g., fire drills).
• Provide online support for remote learning as needed.
• Maintain achievement records and assist with behavior management and de-escalation as appropriate.
