Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. You will support individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion, and prepare instructional materials.

In remote learning settings, you will help with technology access, curriculum reinforcement, executive functioning, and coursework completion.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma or equivalent.
• No professional work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, adapting curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations, monitor progress, and report observations to the IEP team.
• Prepare materials and assist with tests, attendance, and other clerical tasks.
• Support in daily routines, issue handling, and crisis de-escalation as needed.
• In remote settings, assist with technology access and curriculum reinforcement.
