Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UW-Stevens Point) is seeking a MCCH Setup Team Lead to oversee event setup and strike shifts, guiding the team and making on-the-spot decisions.

You will recruit, schedule, and organize team members, assist with staff evaluations, address concerns, and coordinate training. Regular meetings with the Assistant Athletic Director - Facilities ensure alignment with upcoming events. Nights and weekends are required to align with UWSP athletic events.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small team during events or peak periods.
• Ability to recruit, schedule and train temporary staff.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead MCCH Setup Team during event setup and strike shifts.
• Recruit, schedule and organize MCCH Setup Team employees for the week's shifts.
• Assist with staff performance evaluations.
• Address staff concerns and communicate information and changes that affect the team.
• Assist with MCCH Setup Team staff scheduling and training.
• Meet with the Assistant Athletic Director - Facilities regularly to discuss upcoming events, shifts, training opportunities and other required duties.
