Job Description

Essential Job Functions

Department: Facility Set‑Up

Date: 05/13/22

Primary Responsibilities: (guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)

  • Assist the Set‑Up Manager with the items listed below.
  • Coordinate and communicate all of the information from the BEO’s to Banquet Set‑Up and Facility Set‑Up and ensure the setups are set correctly throughout the property.
  • Manage and schedule duties for approximately 10 to 35 employees both daily and weekly.
  • Complete both payroll and low earning duties.
  • Attend pre‑conference meetings and weekly BEO meetings.
  • Order table linens and supplies for meeting and banquet set‑ups.
  • Work in a safe manner and provide PPE.
  • Work closely with Event Services, Food and Beverage and all other departments.
  • Administer and record disciplinary actions (coaching, absenteeism, etc.).
  • Meet with group contacts.
  • Responsible for the care, handling, and storage of all equipment and linens.
  • Interact with internal and external guests effectively.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate through a two‑way radio, e‑mail and cell phone.
  • Communicate with other vendors, e.g., Gillespie’s Flowers regarding décor and materials being rented or used for different functions.
  • Inventory all equipment and order all new equipment.
  • Ensure that the staff is informed of all changes and additions to set‑ups and that these changes and additions are completed.
