You will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensure safety and ServSafe compliance, and develop healthy weekly menus while coordinating staff for meal prep, service, and clean-up. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years in food service (management a plus), and a willingness to obtain ServSafe certification.

Formación

• Must exemplify and model Christian behaviors and values and sign the Waterfront Rescue Mission Statement of Faith.
• High school diploma or GED; 2–5 years related experience in the food service industry; food services management experience is a plus.
• Must obtain ServSafe certification.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Complete inventories of kitchen supplies and ensure temperature logs are maintained.
• Develop healthy weekly menus and schedule staffing for meal prep, service and clean-up.
• Coordinate orders for food and kitchen supplies and ensure proper storage.
• Ensure all foods are refrigerated, cooked, thawed and served safely and timely.
• Maintain facilities appliances, equipment and stored foods per ServSafe guidelines and public health directives.
• Ensure proper cooking temperatures and times per ServSafe standards.
• Ensure donated foods are labeled with date/time and stored properly.
• Keep cooking/serving surfaces clean and sanitized and floors free of hazards.
• Instruct staff and clients in proper hand washing techniques and safety practices.
• Inspect kitchen using AGRM compliance checklists.
• Coordinate Thanksgiving and Christmas community meals.
• Ensure clients working in kitchen are trained for recovery benefits.
• Maintain training on Material Safety Data Sheets and safety procedures.
