Vincentian CARES in Port Charlotte, FL, seeks a Kitchen Supervisor (Sous Chef) to assist the Executive Chef in managing the Food Center operations, which prepare and serve three free meals daily, year-round, for the hungry and homeless.

You will supervise kitchen staff and volunteers, help develop menus, ensure compliance with all food-safety standards, coordinate with church groups, and oversee inventory and donations while maintaining a mission-driven, collaborative work environment.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to speak, write and understand English.
• Must pass Florida Level 2 background screening.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to supervise staff and volunteers.
• Work well with diverse groups and uphold high ethical standards.
• Commitment to Vincentian CARES mission.

Aufgaben

• Supervise Food Center staff and volunteers.
• Assist Executive Chef in menu development.
• Ensure compliance with all food-safety standards.
• Coordinate with church groups for meals.
• Assist with purchasing and inventory.
• Oversee daily kitchen and dining room cleanup.
• Maintain FIFO rotation for perishable foods.
• Weigh and report food donations as required.
• Ensure proper storage of all purchased and donated foods.
