Job summary

Waterfront Rescue Mission is seeking a Food Services Coordinator to oversee daily kitchen operations for mobile ministry programs, reporting to the Director of WRM-Mobile Mission and Operations Manager. The role emphasizes Christian values, safety, efficiency, and teamwork in food service delivery.

Responsibilities include ServSafe certification upkeep, inventory management, menu planning, and coordinating meals for community programs, with occasional travel for training and temporary duties.

Qualifications

• Must exemplify and model Christian values and ethics.
• GED or high school diploma and 2–5 years related experience in food service; management experience is a plus.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Complete inventories of kitchen supplies and maintain temperature logs.
• Develop healthy weekly menus and staff meal scheduling.
• Coordinate orders for food and kitchen supplies.
• Ensure proper food handling, refrigeration, and serving times.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per ServSafe and public health directives.
• Train staff and clients in safety practices and handwashing.
