Job summary

Waterfront Rescue Mission Pensacola is seeking a Kitchen Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day kitchen and food services for the Pensacola ministry programs.

Under the supervision of the Director of WRM-Pensacola Mission and Operations Manager, you will obtain ServSafe certification, plan healthy menus, schedule staff, manage orders and inventory, and ensure safe food handling and sanitation across all activities.

Qualifications

• Must exemplify Christian behaviors and model Christian values.
• Must be willing to sign Waterfront Rescue Mission Statement of Faith.
• Two to five years related experience and/or training in the food service industry; food services management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Completes inventories of kitchen supplies and maintains temperature logs.
• Develop healthy weekly menus and schedule staffing for meal preparation, service, and clean-up.
• Oversee development, placement, and reception of orders for food and kitchen supplies.
• Ensure all food products are refrigerated, cooked, thawed and served safely.
• Maintain facilities appliances, equipment and stored food per ServSafe guidelines.
• Ensure proper cooking temperatures and times per ServSafe and health directives.
• Mark donated cooked foods with date/time and store properly.
• Keep cooking/serving surfaces sanitized and floors clean.
• Instruct staff/clients in proper hand washing techniques.
• Inspect kitchen using AGRM compliance checklists.
• Coordinate Thanksgiving and Christmas community meals.
• Train clients in kitchen to support recovery goals.
• Maintain training of MSDS and locations of Safety Data Sheets.
