Job summary

Magnus Management Group LLC is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the Department of Energy’s Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office Mission Support Division. The selected candidate will design, configure, develop, deploy, document, and support ServiceNow applications and workflow solutions in a sensitive Federal environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of directly relevant ServiceNow development and/or administration experience.
  • Proficiency configuring, scripting, developing, and deploying ServiceNow solutions.
  • Experience with ITSM, ITOM, Workflow, Service Catalog, and custom apps.
  • Understanding of Federal IT and cybersecurity requirements (DOE/NNSA directives, FISMA/NIST).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, test, and implement ServiceNow workflow applications.
  • Configure ServiceNow applications, forms, workflows, catalogs, and custom functionality.
  • Develop and support solutions across ITSM, ITOM, workflow, catalog, and custom applications.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for deployed ServiceNow applications and modules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for developed modules, configurations, workflows, and applications.
  • Communicate with Mission Support Division personnel to clarify requirements, priorities, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Brief management on ServiceNow development progress and project status.

Position Summary

Magnus Management Group LLC is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the Department of Energy’s Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office Mission Support Division. The selected candidate will design, configure, develop, deploy, document, and support ServiceNow applications and workflow solutions supporting business and technical processes in a sensitive Federal environment.

The candidate will work closely with Mission Support Division stakeholders to translate operational requirements into secure, maintainable ServiceNow solutions while complying with DOE/NNSA, FISMA/NIST, configuration-management, change-control, documentation, and auditability requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, configure, test, and implement ServiceNow workflow applications.
  • Configure ServiceNow applications, forms, workflows, catalogs, and custom functionality according to stakeholder requirements.
  • Develop and support solutions across ServiceNow capabilities including ITSM, ITOM, workflow, catalog, and custom applications.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for deployed ServiceNow applications and modules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for developed modules, configurations, workflows, and applications.
  • Maintain development and deployment logs for auditability and lifecycle tracking.
  • Ensure ServiceNow development complies with Federal IT standards and site-specific requirements.
  • Develop and maintain tracking documentation for ServiceNow development tasks and projects.
  • Communicate with Mission Support Division personnel to clarify requirements, priorities, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Brief management on ServiceNow development progress and project status.
  • Track project milestones and proactively communicate schedule risks or delays.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow development policies, processes, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Support mission-driven automation and workflow-enhancement initiatives.
  • Recommend workflow and process improvements that increase organizational efficiency.
  • Coordinate ServiceNow development requests in accordance with DOE/NNSA and Naval Reactors IT guidance.
  • Document ServiceNow platform, software, or network issues and corrective actions.
  • Prepare development status reports identifying completed work, outstanding activities, risks, and recommended improvements.

The PWS specifically requires development and operational support for ServiceNow workflow applications as well as documentation, project tracking, stakeholder coordination, and process improvement.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum two years of directly relevant ServiceNow development and/or administration experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency configuring, scripting, developing, and deploying ServiceNow solutions.
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules and capabilities including:
  • IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • Workflow
  • Service Catalog
  • Custom applications
  • Understanding of Federal IT and cybersecurity requirements, including applicable DOE Orders, NNSA directives, FISMA/NIST guidance, and Naval Reactors information-system requirements.
  • Knowledge of secure change control, configuration management, auditability, workflow development, and system-documentation requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ServiceNow technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems operating under Federal compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with secure software-development lifecycle practices.
  • Experience developing organizational IT procedures, SOPs, development standards, or compliance documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement workflow improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working across Federal Government, contractor, site, and technical teams.
