Job summary

The Amatriot Group is seeking a ServiceNow Developer in Washington, DC, to design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow solutions in a complex enterprise environment. This role focuses on ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM capabilities, developing workflows and applications, maintaining integrations and CMDB data, and supporting platform upgrades and migrations.

The ServiceNow Developer operates in an Agile environment, contributing to platform modernization, automation, and user experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 4-8 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years or master's with 6+ years required.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years or master's with 10+ years required.
• Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of experience designing, developing, or supporting technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules.
• Develop, configure, customize, and troubleshoot the ServiceNow platform.
• Build and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, dashboards, and scheduled reporting.
• Configure ServiceNow functions and workflows to support ticketing, order management, and re-engineered business processes.
• Design, build, and enhance ServiceNow applications in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Incorporate UI/UX requirements into ServiceNow development.
• Follow established coding standards and development best practices.
• Create and manage ServiceNow integrations with Elastic, Netcool, and Kafka.
• Automate and orchestrate tasks and integrations across applications and platforms.
• Support data migration activities.

Position Overview

The ServiceNow Developer designs, develops, configures, integrates, and supports ServiceNow solutions in a complex enterprise environment. This role supports ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM capabilities, develops workflows and applications, maintains integrations and CMDB data, supports platform upgrades and data migrations, and works with customers and cross-functional technical teams to translate operational requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions.

The ServiceNow Developer operates within an Agile development environment and contributes to platform modernization, automation, configuration management, user experience improvements, and ongoing enhancement of ServiceNow applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development and Configuration

• Support the setup, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules.
• Develop, configure, customize, and troubleshoot the ServiceNow platform.
• Build and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups, roles, dashboards, and scheduled reporting.
• Configure ServiceNow functions and workflows to support ticketing, order management, and re-engineered business processes.
• Design, build, and enhance ServiceNow applications in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Incorporate UI/UX requirements into ServiceNow development.
• Follow established coding standards and development best practices.

Integration, Automation, and Data Management

• Create and manage ServiceNow integrations with platforms and technologies such as Elastic, Netcool, and Kafka.
• Automate and orchestrate tasks and integrations across applications and platforms.
• Support data migration activities.
• Integrate and maintain high-quality data across multiple sources within the Configuration Management Database.
• Design solutions aligned with configuration management policies.

Platform Operations and Upgrades

• Coordinate and support ServiceNow platform and application upgrades.
• Troubleshoot platform, application, workflow, integration, and configuration issues.
• Support ongoing enhancements and operational improvements across the ServiceNow environment.

Requirements and Solution Design

• Gather cross-functional requirements to support ongoing ServiceNow configuration and support.
• Help design and document business process flows.
• Propose technical solutions based on operational requirements.
• Analyze customer data trends to enhance user experience and network performance.
• Engage with customers on technical considerations, issues, and system engineering decisions.

Agile Collaboration and Documentation

• Collaborate across engineering, development, and analysis teams to support ongoing enhancements.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow established development practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation supporting ServiceNow configurations, integrations, workflows, and application changes.

Qualifications

Education

• Level III: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 4-8 years of relevant experience. [Required]

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
• Experience or familiarity with Agile development and testing methodologies.
• Exposure to ServiceNow applications such as Telecommunications Service Management, Telecommunications Network Inventory, and Order Management for Telecommunications.
• Experience with Jira, Git, and Confluence.
• Understanding of ITIL Foundation principles or ITIL certification.
• AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications.
• Experience working with large software systems, including hardware integration and test.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary technical development teams.
• Experience using SAFe as an Agile development methodology.
• Experience migrating from legacy applications to new applications.
