Job summary

ServBeyond Solutions seeks an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our team supporting government clients. You will configure, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, PSDS, and related modules, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver digital transformation and scalable POCs.

The role requires hands-on Now Assist, Xanadu release familiarity, and a strong background in JavaScript and APIs to tailor solutions for federal agencies.

Qualifications

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance, working with external and internal stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver digital transformation solutions through ServiceNow Catalogs.The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Public Sector Digital Services (PSDS), Customer Service Management (CSM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD), and related ServiceNow modules, possess hands‑on expertise with ServiceNow projects from inception through completion, and have experience supporting government clients within HHS, CMS, DOD, and other federal agencies. The candidate should have worked on Xanadu release or higher and should have hands on experience with Now Assist. The candidate should also demonstrate capabilities of leveraging Prompt engineering capabilities with ServiceNow and develop POC’s and working, scalable solutions. The candidate should have exposure to the following tools: AWS, GitHub, SharePoint

The Developer will also be assisting with other initiatives beyond thee ServiceNow developer role, such as website support, Microsoft ecosystem Management and usecase development for Organization productivity and leveraging latest AI solutions in day to day development activities

Preference is given to candidates in the Baltimore Metro and Washington DC Metro areas.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the standup, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow’sITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, PSDS, and other modules as required.
• Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups and Roles.
• Create, maintain, and enhance Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports.
• Create and configure tool integrations with ServiceNow (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc.).
• Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades.
• Assist with the design, creation, and cataloging of business process flows.
• Work with other members of the ServiceNow development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies.
• Perform the necessary tasks to design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational needs.
• Support business process re-engineering activities to move ticketing and order management capabilities into ServiceNow.
• Interact with the customer to address Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform to fit business requirements.
• Develop custom applications, enhancements, and integrations using JavaScript, AngularJS, and ServiceNow APIs to ensure tailored solutions that meet client-specific needs.

• Conduct system troubleshooting, testing, and performance tuning to ensure the highest availability and functionality.
• Orchestrate and automate tasks.
• Responsible for the design and build of ServiceNow Applications and integration to other applications and platforms, including architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Provide strong development and project on-track and on-task and collaborate on an ongoing project in both new and enhancements development between engineers, developers, analysts, and other team members.
• Follow, maintain, and apply documentation best practice policies, procedures, and processes throughout ServiceNow development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for ServiceNow configuration, implementation, and support.
• Review and apply any additional UI/UX requirements from external and internal teams and align into ServiceNow development
• Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adheres to coding standards, procedures, and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.
• Support data migration as needed.
• Design and implement solutions following established Configuration Management policies and standards.
• Integrate data from multiple data sources into a unified CMDB, ensuring data quality and integrity are maintained.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and other maintenance activities as necessary.
• Desire to further grow and enhance skillsets from more senior developers throughout each project.
• Must want to grow knowledge of ServiceNow platform and capabilities by continuing to obtain ServiceNow certifications.
• Develop use cases leveraging enterprise SaaS solutions and not just confined to ServiceNow.

Certifications (Must hold the following certifications):

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4-8 years of professional experience; or 2-6 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Additional experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• At least three (3) years of experience designing, developing, and supporting technology infrastructure.
• At least three (3) years of ServiceNow development.
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades.
• Expertise across advanced ServiceNow applications such as ITSM, PSDS, HRSD, ITOM, CMDB, CSM, Security, ITAM (HAM/SAM), SPM, GRC, and Portal/UI Builder.
• Strong command of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Glide scripting for ServiceNow development and customization.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
• The qualified candidate shall have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and self-assign work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including clearly articulating status and presenting to both customers and program leadership. Candidateshall have the ability to develop and present management-level briefings.
• Demonstrate potential and willingness to learn and adapt to rapid technological changes.
• Open to receiving mentoring from senior developers and subject matter experts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JIRA, Git, and Confluence.

• Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified.
• AWS cloud certifications.
• Experience working with large software systems, including hardware integration and testing.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams.
• Experience moving from a legacy application to a new application
• Experience applying test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built-in quality by the team.
