Qualifications

• ITIL Intermediate certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CMDB, AMDB, and data models to support ITOM.
• Lead functional discussions and workshops with stakeholders.
• Capture requirements with architects and translate them into configuration specs and test cases.
• Validate data integrity using Discovery data and data sources; ensure governance.
• Collaborate with teams across IT to deliver ITOM solutions and dashboards.

Job description

Location: Austin, Texas / San Jose, California (Hybrid, 3 days working from office)

Duration: 6-12 Months Contract

Visa: GC and Citizen (W2 Only)

ServiceNow ITOM Functional Consultant / ITOM Solution Consultant role with a strong focus on CMDB, Discovery, CSDM, Configuration Management, and Asset Management.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of ITSM best-practice processes, with Configuration Management and Asset Management experience
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard Change, Configuration and Asset Management system tools, preferably within the ServiceNow environment
• Experience leading technical functional discussions to implement Asset & Configuration modules in ITSM Tools
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant recent experience in ITOM functional consultancy
• Design common service data model (CSDM) concepts to maintain the data integrity between CMDB and AMDB as required.
• Analyze the different CI and data sources (with Discovery, procurement system etc) and establish process and solution for maintaining data integrity coming from multiple sources
• Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and document a resolution based on deep product knowledge shared by technical architect.
• Work with technical architect to understand the related technical requirements and capture configuration data and document functional specifications, test cases and solutions.
• Service Now ITOM Solution, design and process experience required.
• Participate in Configuration Management meetings and Story Time where appropriate
• Minimum of 7++ years of experience with CMDB/Discovery/Service Mapping/ITOM solutioning/CMDB Health Dashboards.
• Minimum of 5+year experience with ServiceNow Discovery
• Have strong ITOM functional knowledge.
• Experience in IT Asset Management Lifecycle processes (including hardware and software)
• Good interpersonal skills, including collaboration, communication, relationship building, and negotiation
• Candidates with discovery and other ITOM certification will be preferred.
