Job summary

Prudent Technologies and Consulting is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB/ITOM Functional Consultant for a hybrid role in Austin, TX and San Jose, CA. The contract-W-2 position requires deep CMDB, ITOM, and ITSM expertise, with a focus on data integrity, discovery, service mapping, and CSDM alignment.

The candidate will lead discussions, document functional requirements, and collaborate with architects to implement Asset and Configuration modules within ITSM tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience with CMDB/Discovery/Service Mapping/ITOM
• 5+ years experience with ServiceNow Discovery
• Strong ITSM, CMDB, and Asset Management understanding
• Hands-on with Change, Configuration and Asset tools in ServiceNow
• Experience leading technical functional discussions for Asset & Configuration modules
• 5+ years ITOM functional consultancy
• Design and maintain CSDM data models
• Analyze data from CI sources and maintain data integrity across sources
• Ability to document configurations, test cases and solutions
• ServiceNow ITOM solution design and process experience
• Participate in Configuration Management meetings
• Strong ITOM knowledge
• Experience in IT Asset Management lifecycle
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Discovery and other ITOM certs preferred

Job Title : ServiceNow CMDB/ITOM Functional consultant
Location : Austin, Texas / San Jose, California (Hybrid)

Required Skills :

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with CMDB/Discovery/Service Mapping/ITOM solutioning/CMDB Health Dashboards.
• Minimum of 5 year experience with ServiceNow Discovery
• Strong understanding of ITSM best-practice processes, with Configuration Management and Asset Management experience
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard Change, Configuration and Asset Management system tools, preferably within the ServiceNow environment
• Experience leading technical functional discussions to implement Asset & Configuration modules in ITSM Tools
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant recent experience in ITOM functional consultancy
• Design common service data model (CSDM) concepts to maintain the data integrity between CMDB and AMDB as required.
• Analyze the different CI and data sources (with Discovery, procurement system etc) and establish process and solution for maintaining data integrity coming from multiple sources
• Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and document a resolution based on deep product knowledge shared by technical architect.
• Work with technical architect to understand the related technical requirements and capture configuration data and document functional specifications, test cases and solutions.
• Service Now ITOM Solution, design and process experience required.
• Participate in Configuration Management meetings and Story Time where appropriate
• Have strong ITOM functional knowledge.
• Experience in IT Asset Management Lifecycle processes (including hardware and software)
• Good interpersonal skills, including collaboration, communication, relationship building, and negotiation
• Candidates with discovery and other ITOM certification will be preferred.
