Job summary

Cyberobotix Technology is seeking a CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping Functional consultant. The role focuses on ITSM, CMDB, Asset and Configuration Management, with ServiceNow ITOM expertise and strong data governance across multiple data sources.

You will design data models, maintain data integrity, and document resolutions with the technical architect, while engaging in CMDB health dashboards and governance activities. Hybrid work arrangement in Austin and other locations.

Qualifications

• Strong ITSM knowledge with CMDB and Asset Management experience.
• Hands-on with Change, Configuration and Asset Management tools, preferably in ServiceNow.
• Minimum 5 years of ITOM functional consultancy experience.
• Design CSDM concepts to maintain CMDB-AMDB data integrity.
• Document resolutions, test cases and solutions with a technical architect.
• Experience in CMDB/Discovery/Service Mapping ITOM solutions; strong data governance.
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional discussions to implement Asset & Configuration modules in ITSM tools.
• Capture configuration data and document functional specs and test cases.
• Work with the architect to understand technical requirements and data sources.
• Participate in CMDB health dashboards and governance meetings.
• Contribute to Discovery and Service Mapping design and rollout.

Location – Austin, Texas / San Jose, California (Hybrid, 3 days working from office)

Job Title: CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping Functional consultant

SACM FC JD

• Strong understanding of ITSM best-practice processes, with Configuration Management and Asset Management experience


• Hands-on experience with industry-standard Change, Configuration and Asset Management system tools, preferably within the ServiceNow environment


• Experience leading technical functional discussions to implement Asset & Configuration modules in ITSM Tools


• Minimum of 5 years of relevant recent experience in ITOM functional consultancy


• Design common service data model (CSDM) concepts to maintain the data integrity between CMDB and AMDB as required.


• Analyze the different CI and data sources (with Discovery, procurement system etc) and establish process and solution for maintaining data integrity coming from multiple sources


• Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and document a resolution based on deep product knowledge shared by technical architect.


• Work with technical architect to understand the related technical requirements and capture configuration data and document functional specifications, test cases and solutions.


• Service Now ITOM Solution, design and process experience required.


• Participate in Configuration Management meetings and Story Time where appropriate


• Minimum of 10+ years of experience with CMDB/Discovery/Service Mapping/ITOM solutioning/CMDB Health Dashboards.


• Minimum of 5+year experience with ServiceNow Discovery


• Have strong ITOM functional knowledge.


• Experience in IT Asset Management Lifecycle processes (including hardware and software)


• Good interpersonal skills, including collaboration, communication, relationship building, and negotiation


• Candidates with discovery and other ITOM certification will be preferred.

Preferred Requirements

• ITIL Intermediate


• ServiceNow administration experience
