Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Service Engineer for Ultrasound products in the United States. You will survey and optimize concepts for serviceability and reliability, manage service projects, and work hands‑on with Ultrasound systems to troubleshoot and validate requirements.

You will provide input to Engineering early in the NPI cycle to improve serviceability, define service requirements, and lead service projects with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience in medical devices and customer service.
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in medical devices and/or customer services relevant roles.
  • Technical knowledge of Ultrasound technologies and capabilities.
  • Ability to identify and assess risks and develop suitable strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Analytical ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders, including Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead service projects and provide guidance within a team.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Willing to travel up to 10%.
  • Ultrasound System service and repair experience is preferred.
  • Experience with AI, Cloud based computing, and Powershell a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Survey, check, and optimize product concepts regarding serviceability, maintainability, and reliability for assigned products or systems
  • Manage service projects and develop Product Service Concepts and Plans for Ultrasound products
  • Work hands‑on with Ultrasound systems and hardware to evaluate serviceability, troubleshoot issues, validate service requirements, and support product development activities
  • Provide input to Engineering on new products early in the new product introduction cycle to improve serviceability and diagnostic functions
  • Define serviceability and value‑added service requirements and support their implementation within the Project team
  • Evaluate the product service lifecycle, test and validate service requirements and functions, create technical documentation, and provide technical training when required
  • Become the Service expert for assigned products and perform Service Engineering processes
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Product and Sustaining Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project and Product Management, and business partners
