Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Service Writer to greet and consult service customers, coordinate and communicate with the service and warranty departments, and support the shop team in Springfield, Missouri.

The role includes opening and closing work orders, tracking technicians' time, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and helping resolve customer concerns while ensuring accurate documentation and smooth warranty processing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• College degree or trade certificate preferred.
• Experience in dealership service shop environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and close work orders with detailed information.
• Record, adjust and report technicians' time for work orders and payroll.
• Answer phone calls for the Service Department and assist customers.
• Help resolve customer complaints and schedule appointments.
• Supervise and assist technicians with diagnosis and repairs.
• Assist with warranty repair paper flow.
